Thanks for a GREAT week!!

I just wanted to throw up a little post about last week and how great it was!! First of all I want to again thank all of you on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction! It was a nite I will NEVER forget. Sam and I had a great time. It obviously would have been perfect under better circumstances, but none the less it was an honor to be a part of it.

On Wed. after the induction ceremony, I flew to Puerto Vallerta to meet the cruise ship headed for Cabo. That nite Vic Johnson, Dave Lauser and myself played a two hour set of some of our favorites, including some "Old" VH stuff. I can't remember the last time I sang lead vocals for that long...It was GREAT!! I saw a couple of short clips on YouTube yesterday. If you want to check them out just type in Sammy Hagar 2nd annual cruise or follow these links:

Jesus Just Left Chicago
The Immigrant Song

I will also be posting some pictures of the nite on my web site soon. If those of you who were there would like to send some pictures of the show or on the cruise to "Web Monkey" Bobo, we will post them also. Sammy and I finished it off with a noon time show at the Cabo Wabo on Fri. the 16th. A big THANK-YOU to everyone who was there and on the ship!! It was an awesone time meeting and hangin out with all of you.. I needed a couple of days rest after that!! ( DETOX TIME!!)

One last thing. For those of you who can't get enough MA hot sauce heat, we've just come out with a XXX RESERVE sauce that should be just what you're looking for. We have it available in my online store now. Check it out and let me know what you think. It's not scorching heat( I want you to be able to finish the meal!!) but just hot enough to maybe remove a few taste buds!!! to ya soon, Michael

When do people look their best: is it during the good times, the damn good times?

Recently, you've gone from arenas to the world stage. More folks than ever are talkin' 'bout Michael Anthony.

The spot light hasn't settled on your talents, but zeroed in on your character.

Each time you've had a chance to retaliate, but chose not to ... well, that's what's goin' down on the inside. Looks real good.

Take Care,

You are the man! My wife and I were watching the induction and when you said the nice things about Ed, she asked me why you would say anything nice about him and I said "because you are an upstanding guy!" Thanks for taking the high road! BTW - I have use your Xtra Hot BBQ sauce on three different meats this week and wonder if you can get that and the Hot mustard sauce in a Half Gallon jug as well? It rocks... Jim

Michael, you are the man. Van Halen's first album made me a hard rocker for life. It really was a revelation for me to hear that when I was 12! Blew my mind! There is no Van Halen without you, period.

Take it easy,

Hi Mikey,
The 2nd annual cruise was flippin' awesome! We wanted to "Thank-You" sooo much for going on the cruise, and being such a nice guy. All the fans really loved being able to see your HOF award, thanks for sharing that with us.
The Michael Anthony Express Show was amazing, I hope that was just our first of many!
We were able to take some pictures with you at the Mazatlan Beach Party, they are printed and framed already! :)
The concert at the Cantina was so much fun!!! You and Sammy's enthusiasm, and love for life are indeed contagious! We've been smiling for dayz, even though work and life are back in session!
I will try to send some pictures to "Web Monkey?"

I posted this to the VHML, but I thought I would post this here as well....
On the off chance that Mikey and Sammy might come
across this, I just want to say thank you. Thank you
for keeping the spirt of Van Halen alive.

Mikey - your words were so moving, you are amazing.
You deserve more than you are given. You truly are the
most underappreciated force in rock and roll.

Sammy - you are a true gentleman. You care. You are
music in its most pure form. I live for the day that
you, Dave, Ed, Alex and Mikey all take the stage

Thank you both for one shining moment in the honor of
Van Halen and art.

It was great to see you get inducted and perform with Sammy. It's great to see that people are recognizing you as the legend you are--not just as a bassist, but as the main support beam of the band, and a great guy too.

But aside from all that, you are also THE VOICE of the great Van Halen choruses. While the verses belonged to Sammy and Dave, the Chorus was driven by Michael Anthony and all those clean high notes.

Maybe people need to see a Van Halen show without you to really appreciate what you brought to the table.

Yo Mike,
Congrats on the R & R HOF with VH. Your base lines on are among the most recognizable and memorable in the HISTORY of rock music and you are a MAJOR reason VH was inducted! Glad to see you with Sam's band, can't wait for your tour to come through Texas (San Antonio, hopefully).

Keep on partying, and know that you'll always be considered among the baddest, best, coolest & most influential bass players ever! Looking forward to new stuff!

Peace & Love

Mike...DO A SOLO TOUR!!! You are a class act and you deserve a solo career! Do EXACTLY what you did on those youtube vids...Your personal favorite cover tunes and a shot of VH. Get a hot band...not for played with the greatest rock band in the world for a long time so I think you will have NO problem recruiting people to play with you...Sing lead all night...I think you will love what happens if you do it. BTW You ARE my bass hero...Carrier Dome in 1982 then I bought a bass the next week. Oh yeah, you can call the tour "1/4"!

hrm.. Did you guys really drink booze on stage? or iced tea?

I'm currently dealing with my own tequila times--from watching you and sammy booze it up during the intro to your LWAN solo.. (which I still love)

Anyway, Mike! You are the coolest of the band!! Peace!!!
