Here's whats up...

Hey everyone, just wanted to give all of you a little update on the "Chickenfoot" project. First of all you can all rest assured that our name will not be Chickenfoot, but I guess we have to call it something for now!! I just got back last Wed. from a week and a half of recording with Sam, Joe, and Chad, and all I can say is....F___K, the shit is ROCKIN!!!! Andy Johns is in the studio with us, and it's sounding BIG!!! I know Sammy got bashed a bit for supposedly comparing this to Zep in the press..( I'm sure if he made any references,it's just because of how excited we all are about how it is coming along. You all know Sammy!! This definitely has the energy of an early Zep or VH for that matter...) NOBODY will be dissappointed!! We have nine basic tracks recorded, and after Sammy and Joe finish up some touring commitments we will be back in the studio to finish this up!!
Be patient, I'll update again soon. We can't wait to get this thing out, so we can bash it up HARD with all of you!!!! Michael

Thanks for the update, Mikey!

I'm sure you know us fans have been waiting to hear what you all have been putting together for us. We're also wondering if we're going to get to see you play live together. Any chance of a tour?

I caught the few songs you guys jammed out at the Vegas show earlier this year and definitely need to see more of that!

Keep on rockin'!!

Mike,
Can't wait for this album! You and Sammy back to rocking together with a kick-ass guitarist and drummer!
Glad to see you are rocking with your peers in a real band and not forcing one of your kids in!

As a long time VH fan, I have to
say I have been sorely disappointed
by VH's decisions!!! Sammy Hagar
has always been my favorite singer
in the band, I have been to concerts with all three singers, and I thought Sammy was the best choice. Now you have been replaced by the son, not cool!!! I
am glad that you will be rocking
with Sammy again! Can't wait to
hear what you've got!

Hey Mike:

Are you going to get any studio bass solos? That'd be AWESOME!

XOXOXO,

You guyz are a breath of fresh air with active plans to release your "chickenfoot" (please do change the name)studio album and hopefully subsequent tour. Coming on the heels of AC DC's outstanding Black Ice, I can feel a classic R&R surge coming on, and we really do need it!!

I just decided to see what was up with the VH reunion tour and what not, being out of the loop for many years. I must say Michael if you read this, you are a man of the utmost class and poise, a truly humble man; I wish I had your humility. I remember walking through the local mall in 1981 when I was about 13 looking to buy my first cassette tape to put in my new killer Sears stereo and saw a totally cool cassette case with some interesting artwork. It was Van Halen Fair Warning. I had never heard of Van Halen but decided to give it a listen. I was pleasantly blown away by the hard driving kick ass music with the unbelievable pumping bass. I picked up a bass about a year later and have been playing ever since. Fair Warning is still my favorite rock album of all time and happens to be the first cassette I ever purchased. My musical tastes have changed over the years, but I will never forget putting that tape in the player and listening to it non-stop for 6 months. From what I have read about the photo shop on the first album and the other b*****t, your response to this has given me a new respect for you and I hope I have the pleasure of meeting you someday. I do visit Cabo about once every couple of years. I have never been to Sammy’s joint, but the next time I am there I will have to check in.

Best Regards

I've been hoping and praying for a new VH album with you and Sammy involved but this has that beat like Dave was in the Sam/Dave tour!
