Having a Blast Out Here!

I can't believe how much fun we're having out here! After all the banners that have been held up recently, we decided to add "Summer Nights" to the set and it is ROCKIN!! We're playing our way back towards the West Coast now, but first we'll do a little damage in the midwest. Check out these pictures and there's more coming at ya next week!!.....Michael

Mike,

Thanks for the faithful updates and pics of the current tour. For those of us who can’t go and experience the real thing – they’re our blow-up doll.

One of the many reasons fans like you and Sam, is you’re humble. You brothers-at-heart ain’t threatened by sharing the stage. I learned about Johnny Highland through you guys and would have loved to hear him jam with The Other Half.

Okay, back to my inflate-a-date.

Thanks so much for the updates, Mikey! Can't wait until you make it back to Cali. The show you're doing with Tesla will be a DREAM for me. In the mean time, I'll have to settle for the Tahoe Wabo - be there in about 8 hours...

Mike -

Thanks for staying in the game! You and Sammy are "Lifestyle Rockers" . . . we all wish we could be you, but there's only one you!

I can't believe you guys are throwing Summer Nights back into the mix - we'll be screaming along with you tonight in Kansas City!

Mike,

Saw you guys in Indiana. Definitely some of the most fun I've had this summer. I hope you all do this often because I'd like to meet you someday and give you a high five for being awesome and making your own hot sauce.

God speed.

Chi-cabo show highlight: Eric Johnson wails on Finish What You Started. Gotta love those cascading triplets of inter-stellar glissando...and Mike's road cases bearing the previous band's logo pointed straight at the crowd...and Sammy drinkin' Old Pyle. As they say in the Billy Goat, "Gimme a Style wit da cheezbordagaaah".

Post pictures of that!!! Sammy guzzling Old Style while Eric Johnson solos to Finish What You Started next to Michael Anthony with a blurry & bruised VH stencil on a box proclaiming 'Property of Michael Anthony' way off to the side. Is that serendipity?

Please tell Vic to play the intro to Summer nights using 1st finger to bar the nut and grab the other notes with the wrong fingers to form open G,D,Bminor6, Asus2 chords then move the whole thing up a minor third...sounds like the Steinberger Eddie lost.

Right Now: Eddie needs help but doesn't want it. He is a tragic figure of rock and roll.

On the way out a bunch of kids were were saying, "Damn, I thought Eddie was supposed to be here tonight".

Thanks for keeping it real.

Yo Mike!
Rather upset that I have to miss the Saint Louis show. First time in years! :(
My band "The Vibe" will be across the street at The VooDoo Lounge in Harrah's Casino Saturday night. If you have a few minutes after the show, we would love to have you as a guest! I know the show will be ROCKIN' as always.
Peace

Mike I just want to thank you from the Tinely Park show! You tossed me a little Single Barrel Jack Daniels bottle during your solo and Runnin. The intro for runnin lit me up. The first real Halen show I saw was at East Troy Wisconsin Monsters of Rock when Sammy had stitches in ass from Friday. The year was 1988. I followed you guys all the way to 2006. I finally got to be up front and jam with both of you. I'm a single father of a 6 year old little girl and that made me so damn happy that I've been smiling all week. You guys inspired me to learn how to play music. My brother was the Navy Seargant at Hard rock Cafe this Spring who has the old diaper and Jack pictures. He got them ready to send to you if you still want them. I also have a magazine with those. I would give them to you if me and my bro could drink 1 magarita with you and Sam. We worked concert security for a couple of years but no one compares to our favorite band. I also went to Homer Junior High School and Lockport High School with your second cousin Jeff C. Thanks for the great concert. I hope to see you and Sam again.
